Sue
Director
Behind every batch is Sue, leading the process with a steady hand and a deep understanding of how simple, natural materials can do powerful things.
Each bag is hand-sewn by Sue herself, with the same care and attention she brings to the kiln. She takes her time with every stitch, choosing durable, natural fabrics and ensuring each piece is made to last. It’s a slower process, but an intentional one—because we believe the way something is made matters just as much as what it’s made from.
Her approach shapes everything we do: thoughtful, unhurried, and grounded in doing things properly.
Peter
Director
Behind the scenes, Peter plays a key role in bringing each batch of biochar to life, combining practical skill with a deep respect for the process.
He oversees the production side, carefully managing the kilns and ensuring the conditions are just right at every stage. From preparing the raw materials to monitoring temperature and airflow, Peter takes a hands-on approach—refining each batch with patience and consistency.
Josie
Marketing and design
Bringing a fresh perspective to the family business, Josie leads on design and marketing—shaping how our products look, feel, and connect with people.Working closely with Sue and Peter, she translates the hands-on work behind each product into something clear and meaningful. From developing packaging to creating visuals and telling our story, Josie focuses on keeping everything simple, honest, and true to what we do.
For Josie, it’s about more than just how things look. It’s about helping people understand the value of what’s inside, and sharing the story of a small family business in a thoughtful, genuine way
